Information for incoming students
- Ensure that your institutional email address is activated, either @studenti.unipd.it or @phd.unipd.it.
- Enroll on the PhD Programme Moodle website and review the available guidelines and documents.
- Participate in the PhD welcome day, where a general overview of the organization of the PhD Programme will be provided by the Coordinator.
- Look at our teaching offer and plan your training activity for the incoming academic year.
Student Activity Summary
Student activities can be summarized as follows:
- Presentation of the PhD project. A description of the PhD project must be submitted within the first few months of the program, and an oral presentation of the project to the Academic Board will be scheduled during the first semester of the Ph.D.
- Yearly presentation of the scientific progress and of the training activities. At the end of each year, students are required to submit a document outlining the scientific progress made on their project and providing evidence of all certified activities attended. Moreover, progress on the Ph.D. project during the second year will be presented through a poster session on PhD Day, while an oral presentation will be scheduled for the third year.
- Meetings with Advisors. Two external advisors are assigned to each student at the beginning of the PhD program. These meetings are mandatory and must occur before the end of each year. Positive evaluations from both advisors and supervisors are required to advance to the next year.
